Who Is RyuJin?
Kishan "RyuJin" Lad is a 22 year old professional musician and graphic designer. Currently based in Manchester, UK, where he does all of his design and music work.
RyuJin has been designing since the age of 10 and hasn't ever looked backed. Started off as a bit of fun for an online game he was part of, RyuJin soon found himself designing more and more seriously as he learnt new things. Eventually, his designing skills would lead him to freelancing on a professional level over the years where he has now had the privilege of designing for the likes of; English Frank, Infamous Haze, local schools, local musicians and musicians abroad. Ironically, his love for digital art was the reason for his start within the music industry. But he just didn't know it yet. RyuJin has a strong understanding of the Adobe suite where he uses software like; Photoshop, After Effects, Flash and Illustrator on a daily basis where he creates all of his work. RyuJin also has a good understanding of video editing software; Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas Pro and Camtasia Studio.
As mentioned before, design is what got RyuJin into the music industry. He was approached by a Manchester based musician who asked him to do a cover for his upcoming CD. Out of curiosity, RyuJin went and downloaded the demo version of Fruity Loops and ever since, he has been an avid learner to create unique music and develop his skills into something a little more than "test fun". Since starting producing in early 2010, RyuJin has trained and developed his sound and skills into something that he had never even anticipated. Now that he's on the foreground of the Manchester hip-hop scene, there's a lot for RyuJin to show off to his fans, locals and the rest of the world.
Over the years, RyuJin has gained more and more industry friends, clients and contacts to help him achieve his dream of becoming one of the most notable producers to ever come out of Manchester. In 2012 alone, RyuJin was; interviewed by The Oldham Chronicle, had a 30 minute discussion about music with Nihal on the BBC Asian Network, NBC News New York interested in broadcasting what he had done, his independent mixtape reaching over 80,000 downloads, being signed to Black Wall Street Records / Purple Gang, being in the runnings for the Official Mixtape Award nominations and being noted as one the young entrepreneurs of Manchester. With all those accolades under his belt, RyuJin still had time to make music with some of the biggest names in the industry to date. From clients ranging from; French Montana, Nu Jerzey Devil, UK top 10 singer songwriter McLean, Papoose, Jim Jones, Shady Records' Obie Trice, Shady Records' Ca$his and 2004 X Factor finalist Daniel DeBourg. Not to mention all of the musicians that he's worked with from around Manchester, London, Birmingham, Scotland, America, Canada, India and Australia. Also, RyuJin's music has been shared by hip-hop legend Funk Master Flex, NME, Yahoo! Music, HotNewHipHop and various other torrent websites. As well as his music being downloadable through music apps on Android based phone apps.
Despite a lot of set backs in his personal and business life, RyuJin isn't one to be knocked back and stay there. On more than one occasion he has shown his determination and passion to make it in this industry. Either through design, music or both, there isn't a way to stop him at all.
Also, during the end of 2012, RyuJin noticed a shortage of a particular trade within the industry, professional kinetic typography videographers and editors. With this is mind, he set himself to learn the basics on how to create these videos, brushed up on his skills and then went ahead and created his own company specifically for these videos, MoveThemWords. Within a month of opening the company, RyuJin has managed to gain himself clients like; Leo Levox, Strikey, McLean, Funeral For A Friend, Young Guns and The Blackout.
